Molybdenum Rods - High Purity, High Performance Metal Products

Molybdenum rods are cylindrical metal products made from high-purity molybdenum powder, processed through high-temperature sintering, forging, and hot isostatic pressing. Molybdenum rods are known for their high melting point, excellent thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion, making them widely used in various high-temperature and specialized fields. Their primary applications include semiconductor ion implantation equipment, electric light sources and vacuum components, high-temperature furnace refractory parts, glass kiln molybdenum electrodes, and electrodes in the rare earth industry.

Molybdenum Rod Material Types

  1. Pure Molybdenum Rod: Molybdenum content greater than 99.97%, offering excellent high-temperature performance and stability.

  2. High-Temperature Molybdenum Rod (Molybdenum-Lanthanum Alloy Rod): Contains 0.4~1.2% lanthanum, with the remainder being molybdenum except for impurities, suitable for high-temperature environments.

  3. TZM Molybdenum Rod: Contains 0.40.6% titanium (Ti), 0.070.12% zirconium (Zr), and 0.01~0.05% carbon (C), providing higher strength and creep resistance, ideal for demanding applications.

Molybdenum Rod Surface Types

  1. Sintered Molybdenum Rod: Surface has a silver-gray metallic luster, primarily used in applications that do not require surface machining.

  2. Forged Molybdenum Rod: Surface has an oxide layer and appears black, suitable for further processing.

  3. Turned Molybdenum Rod: Mechanically processed, with a smooth metallic surface.

  4. Ground Molybdenum Rod: Surface is smooth with a silver-gray metallic luster, high dimensional accuracy, suitable for precision applications.
